What You Will Do
The incumbent is responsible for co-ordinating the contract administration process for the acquisition of materials, equipment and services in accordance with the Commission’s procurement policy, departmental requirements, TTC guidelines/procedures, and industry practices. This position also provides administrative support for the Structure Maintenance Section.
As a TTC employee you are responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (if applicable and within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service provider and an employer and you will also be participating in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Your application demonstrates knowledge of contract administration, equipment and materials management principles.
- You must have techniques for assisting with contract terms, resolving disputes, and expediting goods and services.
- Proficiency in the use of a personal computer, mainframe, and software applications relevant to the work (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, OARS, Maximo).
- Strong secretarial, administrative, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Completion of secondary school education, and post secondary education is an asset, in a relevant discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- You must possess a valid class “G” Province of Ontario Driver’s Licence and may be required to upgrade to “DZ” License.
- Familiarity with construction industry language, equipment and methods.
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills, including an excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Coordinates the internal/external review of Toronto Public Utilities Coordinating Committee (TPUCC) submissions.
- Attending monthly Toronto Public Utilities Permits and Restoration Committee meetings.
- Coordinating and processing excavation/cut permit requests made by external parties through Ontario on1call process.
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
